Wolverine with a Whip

As far as I am concerned, Baz Luhrmann is a visual genius. His "Red Curtain" trilogy (Strictly Ballroom, William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet, and Moulin Rouge) is a cleverly evolving example of the power of creative expression on the big screen.

His movies are mischevious spectacles that piece by peice break down the rules of conventional cinema.

Now he's set his sights on the cinematic epic. Coming out this fall, Luhrmann will wind Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman through the epic development of their homeland, Australia.

It has been seven long years since Moulin Rouge made glorious froth with traditional French burlesque.

I look forward to seeing what he can do Down Under!
