I tend to avoid posting youtube videos of concerts because they're not the same as being there and you usually hear more of the crowd than the music.
Here's an exception:
Some random person standing close by to where we were standing caught the final encore at this week's Phoenix show at The Ogden here in Denver.
When lead singer Thomas Mars stands up all of the sudden in the audience, midway through, that's pretty much our spot.
Crowd noise, clapping hands, random heads, fuzzy focus and all, it does a pretty good job of catching the energy of the show that night...

It's 20 seconds 'til the last call.
I've already raved about french electro-rockers Phoenix and their new material.
Well, they've finally released a nifty video for 1901, their new track they were giving away for a while on their website.
The new album drops May 26th here in the States. They hit the Bluebird Theater here in Denver June 25.
I can't wait!

Like a ride, like a ride. Ooooh!
UPDATE 4/18: Phoenix have just added a Denver date! They're playing the Bluebird on June 25. We'll be there. So should you!
French electro band Phoenix are revving up for their new album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, coming out next month. They had already trickled out a teaser for 1901 (which you can download for free on their website.
Here's the first video, Lisztomania:
Needless to say, I'm super excited for this album to drop May 25. If you want an introduction to them in the meantime, check out their 2006 album, It's Never Been Like That.
